‘Moving back.’ The Retrograde is an exhibition that looks closely upon this process inherent in art--looking back at our understanding, memory and experience in order to make sense of the present. Held at Bath’s Walcott Chapel from the 21 April-24 April, it presents a diverse group of artists working across different mediums. Through their individual practice, and collaboration with the space, the artists have all worked on mutual themes but with very distinct interpretations of what it means to look back, inward or behind. Whether the artists have found that in the company of trees, urban labyrinths or the abstract in between, the viewer is welcome to discover their own point of reversion as they interact with The Retrograde.
